National Employability Enhancement Mission
The Central government , MOE – AICTE, is aware of the enormity of the challenge and has therefore launched a program through AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). It is already popularly known as NEEM (National Employment Enhancement Mission). The objective is to develop a competent workforce which could take the country ahead in the industrial world. World popular concept of “On the job practical training” is the basis of this program targeting enhancement of employability among individuals who are pursuing graduation or have discontinued or completed a diploma or graduation in any technical or non-technical field.
Key Features
- Minimum education qualification required 12thclass & Graduation pursuing.
- Employability on Job Training given to the candidates from the age of 16 to 40 Years.
- Trainee is engaged for 3 years with industry though OJT Programme& Graduation program.
- Remuneration/ Stipend paid to a trainee is a consolidated amount not subject to any other statutory deductions.
- Industries can create its own trained workforce through the NEEM Accredited Programme.
- Certificates are issued to the Successful Trainees after completion of training.
- NEEM contract shall not be either an offer or a guarantee of employment, as the objective of the scheme is to develop the employable youth.

- Candidates as a NEEM trainee while pursuing education undergoes extensive “on the job training” in an industry, which would enhance his employability.
- Apart from monthly stipend the essential facilities such as canteen, uniform, safety shoes, insurance etc. will be given to each student of on job training as per company policy.

- Gaining confidence in abilities: Practice makes perfect. If trainees learned about a specific technique in the classroom, they are able to test it out in the world of work. Then they will be much more equipped with the technique.
