The University Grants Commission (UGC) has introduced the Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc.) program as part of the higher education framework in India, focusing on skill-based learning under the NSQF model.

The program integrates general education with industry-aligned skills training, allowing for flexible exits as a Diploma or Advanced Diploma. The curriculum is designed with direct input from industry to ensure relevance and employability.

Practical training can take place in college or at industry partner sites. For certain skills, blended or distance learning models may also be applied as recommended by the industry.
